Introducing....AthleteHQ 15 McGhee
This is the Athlete Headquarters 15 McGhee Volleyball Team
AthleteHQ 15 McGhee
Coach Norm McGhee is Head Coach of AthleteHQ 15 McGhee
Coach McGhee had 15 years of CYO volleyball coaching from 1985-1999.
In 2000, he then ventured into high school coaching as head varsity coach at Ottawa Hills High School, where he coached them to their first winning record in his first year.
From there, he went to Whitmer HS as JV coach and Varsity assistant.
He moved from there to Notre Dame Academy (NDA) as varsity assistant where they won back-to-back City League titles. (In the original Toledo City League.)
He left NDA to become head coach at Rossford High, and took them from a record of 2-20 to 12-12 in his first year.
He went back to the NDA Eagles as the JV coach, winning The Rocket Invitational (a varsity tournament) two years in a row, after which the defeated decided not to invite the victors back.
Coach McGhee then moved on to Anthony Wayne HS where he enjoyed six years of the best volleyball coaching in his career, winning 2 NLL titles – in 2016 and 2020, which also included Division I District 7 Coach of the Year.
Coach McGhee’s club background includes 8 years at TVC, including a 14U team that I helped coach to the Nationals in Minneapolis where we tied for 21st in the country. He also coached two years at Toledo Revolution. (Director left to coach college) He had 4 years at Latitude 41 in Bowling Green, where he took a 15u team to the OVR Championship, unfortunately losing in overtime. He then put in 4 years coaching at TDV.
Coach is now entering his 4th year at AthleteHQ.
In his spare time, Coach McGhee trains students in private sessions, and has been one of the broadcast crew on BCSN and ESPN3, where he has been broadcasting since 2008.
In short, Coach absolutely loves this sport.
